Enhancing discipline and education projects.Creating and publishing musical work in a professional setting.Enhancing audio production and music technology coursework.Developing podcast and vocal driven narrative projects.Managing audio production education for various fields.Supporting overdub work in an audio engineering environment. ![]() Within our room-use guidelines, students, faculty and staff are welcome to use the space as part of their audio production-intensive education initiatives with a focus on high quality audio and professional development to help fulfill their educational needs, teaching objectives, and creative projects.This includes but is not limited to: Each of these two shared spaces is equipped with professional quality facilities for teaching, learning, and scholarship. The library’s audio production studios are intended to facilitate professional audio production coursework and projects while expanding educational audio production resources at the University. The audio production studios may only be reserved by UO faculty, graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in an Audio Production course, graduate and undergraduate students who’ve completed a Library Studio workshop, and staff engaged in audio production, research sound design or storytelling through sound, digital audio, and the use of recording technology for teaching, learning, and scholarship. Please note, an individual access code must be assigned to you before you will be able to access the studios. Please check room availability on the calendar before submitting a reservation request. The Music Services team will review your reservation request and respond as soon as possible. Reservations should be submitted at least 48 hours in advance of the requested time, up to 12 weeks in advance. ![]() These rooms are fully capable small studios, providing professional spaces to record, edit and mix your audio project. These mixing/recording booths are ideally suited to meet the needs of students enrolled in audio production courses in the School of Music and Dance, as well as graduate students in intermedia music technology and performance of data-driven instruments. Knight Library 365B and 365C are small audio production studios equipped with high-quality digital audio workstations, located inside the Douglass Room on the 3rd floor of Knight Library.
