![]() Pretty much the only things it's actually good at, and can do better than others, are shield bashing (because Ranger talents let you get Shield Master 5 levels early for some insane reason) and TWF, because it combines bonus feats with Sneak Attack, and swift action or instant Studied Target helps compensate for the attack penalties.Įverything else? You should probably play a class that's more focused on that style of play. You put so much energy into this and it's fun to read so much enthusiasm, but if you read between the lines it's basically spelling out "Slayer is generally worse than the classes it imitates." I'd say for anyone who doesn't rule it this way, then ya know, rogue talents go down to 4/5 instead of 5/5 so no biggy. My reading on this is based on the fact that when you take advanced rogue talents, there is a specific sentence that says "hey you can only take each one of these once" as there is in the rogues/ rogue talent rule section.īasically, you aren't a rogue, you just count as one for level scaling, and so even if normal rogue talents work one way, you don't get normal rogue talents. This means for the sake of the EFFECTS of the talents, you use your slayer level as your rogue level, but your rogue talents (Even of the same name) are not the same as slayer talents. Moreover, any talent effects based on ruge level use the slayers level. ![]() It's not like weapon focus or having a certain amount of bab. So as far as I can tell, rogues not being able to select a rogue talent more than once is specific to rogues taking rogue talent and is not an inherent pre-req. /r/3d6 - For character creation, advice and sharing (system agnostic)./r/Battlemaps - For your VTT battlemap requirements./r/Tabletop - For your general tabletop gaming shenanigans./r/lfg - Looking For Group, find other players, etc./r/RPG - For general, non-Pathfinder related RPG discussion./r/Starfinder_rpg - For dedicated discussion of Paizo's Science Fantasy system and setting./r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker - To discuss the Owlcat-made computer RPGs./r/Pathfinder2e - For dedicated Second Edition discussion./r/Pathfinder - For Pathfinder Society Organization/Discussion.Other subreddits you might be interested in: Fillable character sheets and intelligent character builders. Some of these tools and resources include the following: We have a Wiki page that includes links for various useful tools and resources, most of which have been provided by the members of this community.
